To edible or not to edible? That is the question

Updated: Nov 21, 2022

Edibles are foods or drinks infused with either THC, CBD, or both. It's a scrumptious alternative to the more traditional method of smoking or vaping. Unlike smoking and vaping, edibles are absorbed through the gastrointestinal system. When smoking and vaping the effects are practically instant, however with edibles effects can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to become noticeable. Since the edible has to first pass through the digestive system before the THC and other cannabinoids are eventually absorbed and partially metabolized by the liver.

What does that mean? Start low and go slow! Make sure you give your body time to feel the

effects of the edible before trying another...We know they are delicious and you don't want to wait to eat another, but your experience won’t be fun if you over do it! That being said the

traditional dose for an edible is between 5mg-10mg. If you are making them at home from

scratch try starting with 1⁄3 oz (per recipe/batch). If you are buying them already made, make

sure to read the package, most packages contain multiple servings. To edible or not

edible?...We say edible!
